About the Artist
Marija Newbold was born in Austria into a very large family where a number of her siblings to date have pursued careers in the arts. It was only natural that Marija herself formed a love of the arts across all mediums.
Marija released a lot of nervous energy into pottery, unfortunately this resulted in her figurines being quite The Life drawings helped Marija to understand the human form and anatomy resulting in exhibiting her art in several joint exhibitions.
As a young adult, living in a fashionable Sydney art precinct she frequented galleries for many years, always having a desire to have time to indulge in her love of art.
It wasn't until moving to Melbourne that Marija began to experiment with different mediums such as pottery, charcoal and water colours: she is yet to establish her preference. Family and friends are proud recipients of her much loved work.
It is only recently that Marija is finding the time to explore the artistic avenue her style is best suited to and she is enjoying every moment.
