About the Artist
One of my first memories is drawing. I used to draw on everything. My school books, napkins the margins of newspapers. I spent hours sitting at the kitchen table sketching everything I could see. After leaving school I stopped drawing until about 1995 when I began my B. A in Art, fine arts, painting and drawing. I thrived in the rich artistic environment.
Originally I specialized in Life Portraits; I gradually drifted towards animal portraits. I use mainly soft pastels, conte and charcoal. Recently I have begun using 4b pencils with a touch of pastel. My first love has and will always be monochromatic charcoal drawing.
I am a busy mother of three children and breed German Shepherds. I occasionally find time to paint and draw.
I work from good quality colour photos and will accept emailed pictures.
